Melinda Mills Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Chi Nei Tsang Therapist
Melinda started her career as a massage therapist in l981 and opened the Full Moon Healing Art Center in Marin County. She began her study of Tai Chi and Taoist meditation in 1986 and in 1992 started an oriental medicine apprenticeship, receiving her license to practice acupuncture in 2000.
Melinda moved to Annapolis in 2001 with her husband Karl Danskin, a bodyworker and organizational meeting consultant. She continued to practice part-time in Marin, and during this time she began a vegetable garden, started a goat herd, and worked on developing WildForest Sanctuary, the off-the-grid forest property where she and Karl live. In 2008 she closed the Full Moon Healing Art Center, and opened the Birdsong Clinic & Tea Shop at The Sea Ranch.
Melinda offers acupuncture sessions and Chi Nei Tsang therapy. Her practice is hands on, relying on pulse taking and conversation with her clients to create treatments. Her sessions use primarily acupuncture and oriental medicine modalities along with bodywork and some herbal and lifestyle suggestions.
She uses the organic, Biodynamic herbs grown at WildForest Sanctuary to craft small-batch botanical products - tinctures, fragrances, herbal tea blends - that are available at the Birdsong Tea Shop and at select local markets.
